Happily Ever After is a book club aiming to read feminist and inclusive romance. Whether you're a voracious romance reader already or looking to expand your romance horizons, if you're excited to gush about and critically analyze romance novels, we're here for you. We'll pick one romance every month to meet and discuss at the bookstore, and we hope you'll join us!
In past months, we've read The Wedding Date by Jasmine Guillory, Unraveled (Whiskey Sharp) by Lauren Dane, An Extraordinary Union (Loyal League) by Alyssa Cole, The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang, Death's Dancer (Grace Bloods) by Jasmine Silvera, and The Duchess Deal (Girl Meets Duke) by Tessa Dare, Heroine Complex (Heroine Complex) by Sarah Kuhn, and Roomies by Christina Lauren.
The Great Big Romance Read
For December’s Romance Book Club, we’re joining forces with The Ripped Bodice, the only romance-only independent bookstore in the US, and eighteen other book clubs to all read the same book in December: Pride by Ibi Zoboi! This is a Pride and Prejudice retelling in modern Brooklyn with characters of color, and after all the acclaim Hatian-American author Zoboi’s American Street garnered we can’t wait to be part of this nation-wide discussion.
